Yes, that Joe Walsh. Believe it or not, the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eagles[/lastfm] guitarist is working on a new solo record, and it’s as if hell has frozen over once again.
It’s been 18 long years since Joe last put out a record on his own – that would be 1992′s Songs for a Dying Planet. Most fans would probably say “Took you long enough!” But as Walsh explained in an interview with undercover.fm, he wasn’t just taking a vacation.
“I finally got sober in 1994 and I had to learn actually to write and play and do everything sober,” Walsh said. “I just didn’t write for quite a while.”
“Also the Eagles have really been busy. During downtime I can work on doing an album and I just decided that however long it took would be okay.”
The new album has yet to receive a title, but either way it’ll be hard to top You Can’t Argue With a Sick Mind.
