Sad news today: singer-songwriter [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gerry Rafferty[/lastfm] has passed away. Rafferty had long battled illness and was most recently hospitalized for collapsing. According to Guardian, he died at home peacefully with his daughter Martha this morning.
The 63-year-old Scottish singer and songwriter was best know for his hits, “Baker Street,” “Stuck in the Middle With You” (recorded with his former group Stealers Wheel), and “Right Down the Line.”
