This week, March 6-12, is National Consumer Protection Week. National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) is a coordinated campaign that encourages consumers nationwide to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions.

In conjunction with NCPW, SUNNY Across Central Florida spoke to experts who provided valuable information and insights regarding consumer protection laws, debt management, and how to seek help with credit card and mortgage debt when things start to spiral out of control. Our first guest this week was Janet Varnell from the Florida Bar Consumer Protection Law Committee, who spoke to us this week about managing debt and being a savvy, empowered consumer in these difficult economic times.
