Welles Crowther was well known for wearing a red bandana.  And to the people he saved in the World Trade Center south tower on September 11th, 2011 he is also known as a hero.  It was that red bandana that allowed those he saved to identify him to his family members.

This Saturday, the UCF Knights take on Crowther’s alma mater, Boston College.  To honor this 9/11 hero on the 10th anniversary of the national tragedy, all attendees at Saturday night’s game are encouraged to wear a red bandana to honor Crowther and serve as remembrance of the victims and heroes of 9/11.

The emotional clip below will give you more insight into the amazing feats of heroism performed by Crowther on 9/11.
