The Rolling Stones – Aftermath (London, 1966)

Aftermath was the first album by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rolling Stones[/lastfm] to be recorded in the US (at RCA Studios on Sunset in LA) and consist entirely of Jagger/Richards tunes. Everybody knows “Under My Thumb” and “Paint It Black,” but too many people forget “It’s Not Easy.”

“It’s Not Easy” has much of the same elements as the album’s better-known cuts — the twangy India-meet-the-Telecaster guitars in one channel, the grinding honk in the other — but, at the same time,  it has much more of the Chicago blues than its more popular mates.
