We told you several days ago that Sir Elton John has made it known to his people that he’d like Justin Timberlake to play him in the biopic “Rocketman”.  But is Timberlake willing to do it?

Sir Elton told the L.A. Times that he has Timberlake at #1 on his wish list to play him in “Rocketman”…and reportedly, Timberlake is considering it.

It all came about after John saw Justin playing him in the parody video that David Chapelle directed called “This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore”.  John thought that Timberlake’s portrayal of EJ was “superb”.

According to E! Online, Justin is now “seriously” weighing the possibility of playing the role.

A close insider said that Timberlake, “…is taking it very seriously”, and “working with his people to figure out exactly how to respond.”

E! Online’s Ted Casablanca said, “a very official response will be coming from Camp Timberlake momentarily,” though one hasn’t been released just yet.

About the biopic, John explained, “It’s going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a ‘Moulin Rouge!’ “  He went on to say, “I just don’t want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn’t been like that…and it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990.  It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out.”

We’ll keep you posted as more develops (on film)…
