A little over a year after her death from drowning on the eve of the 2012 GRAMMY Awards, the FBI has released records involving three past investigations they had been conducting on behalf of Whitney Houston.
CBS News reports that one investigation involved an alleged extortion attempt that occurred in 1992. Additionally, the star’s fan mail was examined by the FBI for potential threats in both 1988 and 1999. No legitimate threats were discovered.
The files, which were released yesterday, include a heavily redacted interview with Houston which was held at the New Jersey offices of her management company. Click here to view the files via the FBI website.
