One of the most beloved TV stars of the 70s, Valerie Harper, has just revealed that she has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
Known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and later in her own spinoff, “Rhoda,” Harper has revealed to People Magazine that she received the diagnosis of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare disorder, in January. Doctors have given Harper less than three months to live.
Speaking with People, Harper said, “I don’t think of dying. I think of being here now.”
The news follows on the heels of last week’s death of fellow 70s sitcom star Bonnie Franklin.
