They’re billed as the world’s “heaviest” metal band…literally! They’re Compressorhead, a trio made up completely of rockin’ robots. They are currently taking the stage at the Frankfort Musikmesse (Music Fair) in Frankfort, Germany as part of the Gibson guitar exhibition.

In addition to Compressorhead, Gibson is also demonstrating their latest technology, the Min-ETune™ “robot tuning” system which is said to tune a guitar in seconds and allows for 80-100 tunes on just one charge.

Gibson is also showcasing the limited-edition Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul as well as two new signature ES-335 guitars for Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell.

Check out Compressorhead in action as they perform The Ramones’ classic “Blitzkrieg Bop”. All they are missing is a lead singer!
