A special happy birthday to a guy I hung out in Russia with, Tommy Lee is 54 today. Jack Wagner of Melrose Place fame is 57. Tommy Lee was married to Heather Locklear for a while, Jack Wagner dated Heather Locklear. Maybe she just likes guys born in October. One last birthday. Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsay Buckingham is 67.

Gather ’round football fans. It was on this day in 1964 that the first Buffalo Wings were served at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.

On this day in 1964 John Lennon wrote the song “I Feel Fine.” The Beatles recorded the song 15 days later.

Aerosmith bailed thirty fans out of jail on this day in 1978 after they had been arrested for smoking pot during the band’s concert at the Fort Wayne Coliseum.

It was on this day in 1983 that Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson released their duet recording “Say, Say, Say.”

Sad news to end Today in Music History. 16 years ago today we lost Benjamin Orr, co-founder of the Cars, he died of pancreatic cancer at 53.
