Everyone talks about how our country is so divided after the 2016 election. I disagree but that’s another topic for another day. A new poll found that we are actually more united than we may think and all the credit goes to one NFL football team, the New England Patriots!
A new Public Policy Polling survey as found that 53% are rooting for the Atlanta Falcons to win the “Big Game” in Houston. Survey found only 27% are actually pulling for the Pats. Now the kicker is it’s not because the Falcons suddenly have all these hard core fans, it’s simply that the Patriots were dubbed the most hated team in America, which may or may not make the second most hated team happy, that would be my ‘boys, America’s Team the Dallas Cowboys!
The irony of this survey I found was that with many “hating” the Pats their hot, handsome, talented QB Tom Brady is considered America’s favorite quarterback followed by Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. I’m thinking the survey questioned mostly women on this question!
I’ll be honest I’m conflicted because the Patriots are just darn talented and are so much fun to watch, however I do love an underdog, so I feel compelled to root for the Falcons! Crud. I’m divided just like the country! Well I guess whomever wins this Sunday’s “Big Game” I’ll have to accept the outcome and move forward hoping that next year it’ll be my team, America’s team that unites the country, hopefully because they’re loved not hated.
