Remember the guy dubbed, “Hot Mugshot Guy?” Real Name: Jeremy Meeks.
Over two years ago, he was arrested by the Stockton (California) Police Department for federal gun charges. A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a pistol. But, when his mugshot was posted, it went viral, and women across the country got hotter than a Central Florida summer day.
The tatted felon allegedly was a gang member and said that he kept a gun in the trunk of his car for protection. Here’s the flaw in that reasoning. Seldom does a driveby, standby to give you time to pull over, run to the trunk of your car and pull out your weapon (a semi-automatic .45 caliber) so that you can defend yourself.
This very same guy had served 9 years for felony grand theft conviction from 2002. Seems like he just had a penchant for getting into trouble.
Since going viral, the 33-year-old, Cali native has been given several nicknames to include ‘The Blue Eyed Bandit’ and ‘Jail Bae.’
Meeks is a married father of two who’s now been scooped up by a Hollywood agent, will be working full-time to develop a career as a model.
After joining Instagram and posting pics with his kids, and some topless flicks (obviously for the ladies) he now boasts well over 750,000 followers.
Once he was released from prison in March of 2016 (less than a year ago), Meeks decided to work on modeling. It’s paid off so far. He has an agent, and will be hitting the runway in NYC during fashion week.
He now owns a $150,000+ luxury car, and a mansion in sunny Cali.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t think that people don’t deserve a second, or even a third chance. I’ve gotten those myself. However, when someone is a convicted felon, I personally have a problem with them becoming rich after committing serious crimes.
Hey Jeremy, don’t get a third strike. You’ll be out! No matter how “HOT” you are, bae.
