Rolling Stone reports that the two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, got together in the studio over the weekend to record new music.
Starr tweeted a photo of himself and McCartney, saying, “Thanks for coming over man and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love.”
Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, who also happens to be Starr’s brother-in-law, was also in attendance for the recording session.
The all-star (pun intended) session appears to be for Starr’s new album, the follow-up to 2015’s Postcards from Paradise. The last time that Starr and McCartney recorded together was in 2010 for Starr’s album Y Not, where McCartney sang on “Walk With You” and played bass on “Peace Dream.”
