Paint Your Finger Blue For Child Abuse Awareness

April is Child Abuse Prevention month in Orlando and recently people across Central Florida gathered at Orlando City Hall to launch the first-ever “MANicure Movement”, Community Based Care of Central Florida’s (CBCCFL) new initiative to raise awareness of violence against children. As a way to start a conversation about child abuse, all participants had one fingernail painted “prevention blue” to serve as a symbol of the fight against child abuse.

CBCCFL Community Relations Manager Sharon Nelson talked about child abuse prevention and the “MANicure Movement” on SUNNY Across Central Florida.
