Teach For America Recruits New Teachers For High-Need Schools

Teach For America (TFA) recruits and develops outstanding college graduates and professionals to make an initial two-year commitment to teach in high-need schools in an effort to end educational inequity. In two years of partnership with Orange County Public Schools, Teach For America has placed 36 teachers in 11 schools with the largest population of low-income students. New teachers can be assigned locally or to 53 regions throughout the country. Locally, TFA is doing a fundraiser called 100 For One Day. It is a match campaign that runs through May 31st.

TFA Orlando Executive Director Lauren Chianese talked about Teach For America on SUNNY Across Central Florida.
