No, not as a chef, but, as the Chief…as in “Commander In Chief.”
The Associated Press has reported today that Dwayne Johnson, the world’s hottest (double entendre – ask my wife, she’ll tell you) shining star and the highest paid actor (currently) in Hollywood has said that he’s seriously considering a run at the highest office in the land…the White House.
Johnson, who was approached by both Presidential candidates during the past election declined to endorse either nominee because he says he didn’t want to sway anyone’s opinion or make people unhappy with his politics.
Maybe that’s because he hadn’t decided about running for office himself, and wanted to see what the results of the election would be.
Few people really know what Dwayne Johnson’s political views are since the only thing he’s really said is that he “believes in inclusion.” Many say that may be sending a signal that he’s more likely to run on the Democratic ticket.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, The Rock told the interviewer, that he thinks a Presidential run is “a real possibility.”
He went on to say that his top priorities as president would be “poise” and “leadership.”
He’s on the record as an opponent of President Trump’s ban on travel from many Middle Eastern countries, saying it’s exclusive of many people.
Johnson can count on at the very least, one high profile supporter to launch his campaign, NBCUniversal, Ron Meyer vice chairman who said to GQ that he’d vote for The Rock, “without a question.”
Now you KNOW what The Rock is cookin’.
