Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Orlando Raises Domestic Abuse Awareness

By Michael Rafferty

Men and women will put on high heels and walk nearly one mile down Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando during Harbor House of Central Florida’s 5th Annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes Orlando on June 22nd. At 6 p.m. participants will walk from the Orange County Courthouse to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to raise awareness of domestic abuse in Central Florida.  Last year’s event included almost 350 walkers and raised nearly $42,000. There will be food trucks, music and vendors as well as prizes awarded at the end of the event.

CEO Michelle Sperzel and Event Chair Tony Cardoza talked about Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Orlando on SUNNY Across Central Florida.
