When life gives you lemons you make lemonade! That’s what Texas Ranger Adrian Beltre did Wednesday.

Beltre was on fire¬†hitting three extra-base hits, including a homer, and was four hits away from history as he closed in on 3,000 career hits. Problem. When Beltre is on deck, he doesn’t like to stand in the ¬†pre-arranged on-deck circle, instead stands behind the batter who is currently at the plate. In the 20 years of his career he’s never been told change his routine until Wednesday. Second base umpire Gerry Davis had a problem with it and asked Beltre to stand in the designated on-deck circle. So Beltre complied…sorta’!

What happens next? Well check it out and take note. Davis didn’t find it amusing so he tossed Beltre out of the game. However, fans loved it. Who won that battle? Up for debate but sometimes it’s worth making lemonade when life gives you lemons! ~grace
