‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Director Tobe Hooper Dies At 74

Tobe Hooper, the Texas-based horror director who gained notoriety with 1974’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and then achieved even more fame after directing Poltergeist in 1982, has died at the age of 74.

According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, Hooper died on Saturday. It was reported as a natural death.
