Domino came back from a trip to the store to report things were already getting crazy as people scrambled for bottled water and sheets of plywood.
Not necessarily everyone races to Publix and empties the shelves. I have several days of bottled water and put the ice packs in the freezer just in case the power goes out and I have to use the cooler for the freezer items.
I also make sure I know exactly where the cat carriers are.
Mostly I worry if Mom will be all right and make sure she’s stocked with everything. Since she became a Prime member (Mom is hip to the trends) she usually has more toilet paper and paper towels than we’ll ever go through.
While most of my family has been in Florida (central) for decades, I’ve only been here for six years and haven’t really seen a big one here. Irma looks pretty big and should begin to affect us by Saturday, depending on the track.
